“Internet and technology are often made by men for men,” says curator ViolaVirus. She would like to see it differently: more feminine, more humane, more collective, more social, more protective, more empowering and bottom up. Over 80% of employees in the ICT sector are men, according to statistics from the Statistical Office of the European Union. What are the consequences of this on development, design and application of the technology?
ViolaVirus examined the needs of women in the field of internet and technology. For “Internet of Women Things” she collected works in which the influence of feminine values, designers and artists are visible.
